Darren has been interested in fitness and wellness from a very young age and as a result pursued his bachelor’s degree in exercise science at Acadia Univerity in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. The remainder of his professional development has taken place in Calgary and has lead him into the areas of personal training, group fitness, disability fitness, physiological assessment and program coordination. He has worked with various organizations through his career and is currently kept busy working with the Calgary Fire Department’s Wellness Division. Occupational testing and special populations are two of his passions as is working with a multidisiplinary team to enhance the health and wellness of others.
