(1 TEMPORARY CASUAL POSITION)
Under the direction of the Fitness & Wellness Program Coordinator, the Personal Trainer will deliver safe
personal training services and quality programs to members of the Morinville Leisure Centre and residents of Morinville. The Personal Trainer recruitment is for a one year temporary casual position.

Key objectives of this position include:
• Deliver Personal Training programs to a variety of age groups and demographics;
• Fitness program planning and implementation including, but not limited to, development of content, session outcomes, and set-up and take down of fitness equipment required for Personal Training programs;
• Ensure safety and enjoyment for clients by following facility policies, certifications guidelines, scope of practice and
provincial legislation;
• Perform daily equipment checks and store equipment in its designated location after the program;
• Ensure appropriate use of facility by patrons and guests and enforce facility guidelines and rules;
• Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements:
• High School Diploma with specialized training in a Personal Training related field;
• Current certification in Personal Training through the AFLCA, CSEP, YMCA, Can-Fit-Pro, or other certifying body.
• Current Standard First Aid with CPR/AED.
• A degree, diploma or additional certifications and licenses (i.e. TRX, CSEP High Performance, Older Adult, Pre/Post
Natal, etc.) considered an asset;
• At least 1 (one) year program leadership experience, preferably in a municipal setting;
• Exceptional customer service focus, good organizational skills and the ability to work autonomously and as a team member;
• Good working knowledge and use of various software applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel;

Compensation/Hours of Work:
Compensation for this position is currently under review. Hours of work for this position are irregular and will vary by program and client appointments (includes days, evenings and weekends).
