Exercise Theory

EXERCISE THEORY

A minimum 24 hour course covering basic fitness principles and a variety of activity experiences. Course topics include: anatomy, physiology, movement mechanics, training and conditioning, nutrition, leadership and health and fitness. We recommend that you complete the Exercise Theory course prior to the specialization courses.

Exercise Theory Distance Education

The Exercise Theory Distance Course has been designed to allow participants to work through the Exercise Theory Manual through independent study and on their own time. Individuals have up to two months to complete the course from its start date. An AFLCA Trainer oversees the course and is available to answer any questions you may have. The Trainer will provide assignments throughout the course to assist participants with their learning. Once you are ready to write the exam, let your trainer know and an exam registration form will be provided. Course topics include: anatomy, physiology, movement mechanics, training and conditioning, nutrition, leadership and health and fitness. It is recommended that the Exercise Theory course be taken prior to the specialization courses.
