AFLCA Ever Active workshops
The AFLCA offers training in Child and Adult Fitness for activity coordinators and community workers. These courses are specially designed to give community care workers the knowledge and expertise they need to work within special needs demographics.
Ever Active Adults Module
This course has been designed for Activity Coordinators who provide activity programming in seniors’ housing facilities. It is also offered to AFLCA leaders and interested professionals in the field of older adult, obtaining a keen interest in promoting and providing active living strategies for older adults. Space is limited to the first 15 paid registrations for each course

Ever Active Kids Module
This course establishes a framework for developing quality leadership and physical activity programs for children and youth. Topics to be covered include: children and adolescent development, exercise and activity adoption, adherence and attrition, how children differ from adults physically, psychologically, socially, morally and the implications when designing activities and programs, motivation theories, children and youth physical activity patterns, characteristics of exemplary leaders, and instructional aspects. This course is excellent for anyone interested in leading exercise classes for children and youth.

Note: There will be a re-launch of the Ever Active Kids program April 1, 2012. Effective April 1 the program will include information on physical literacy and fundamental movement skills for ages 0 – 5 years. Physical literacy provides children the tools they need to participate in physical activity, sport, both for healthy life-long enjoyment and for sporting success.
